Marquina Gold
Marquina Gold is a collection of ceramic tiles for floors and walls. The tiles are made of mass-dyed, glazed and rectified gres with matt, structural and polished surfaces. The pattern shows gold veining inspired by natural marble. Formats include 120 x 280, 120 x 120, 60 x 120 and 60 x 60 centimetres, with a 30 x 30 mosaic and an 8 x 60 baseboard. The largest format is only 6 millimetres thick and has a stone structure. The tiles are frost resistant and slip resistant, so they suit indoor and outdoor use. The thin tiles can also be installed on existing surfaces.
Marquina Gold Tiles by Cerrad Design Team was identified as an outstanding representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Marquina Gold Tiles received the Golden A' Design Award in Building Materials and Construction Components Design in 2021. The A' Building Materials and Construction Components Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that recognizes exceptional design of bricks, beams, windows, doors, insulation materials, roofing materials, plumbing fixtures, electrical components and more.
